Thanks so much for your elaborate reply. The simple conclusion is that GM decided to make the temp. gauge go to zero because of an issue with the thermostat. Hello, I have read through all replies in this thread and have a simple question...Why would the temperature gauge fail to display a temperature (needle goes all the way to the left) instantly if the thermostat was bad???
