My SSV backup lights do not work. It seems that I have 12 V at light socket when in reverse with no bulb in the socket. The bulb is good.
Any thoughts on how I can get my backup lights to work?
Thanks
Darn, I let a post run into the back of my Tahoe
Now I need to replace my drivers side tail light.
Anyone have a spare or a good source for a replacement?
2013 Tahoe SSV
Thanks.
Interested but the mfg website looks like it would work on yours.
Would it work on 2013 Tahoe with 6 spd and 5.3?
I am most interested in turning off AFM
Good thread, all the upgrades on rotors and calipers are certainly a big help, big change. BUT
break fade is often from old break fluid that has absorbed water.
Have you completely flushed the break fluid in the last two years?
Yes, when I got it at the policeman’s auction it only had a key but I was able to program a couple of remotes.
I’ll bet Tom’s trick on the remote was what the tire guy did to program the TPMS.
I got an EL-50488 TPMS programmer on eBay for $8. In about a week I’ll see if I can make it work.
I can find a reset tool on eBay
Hardware Version: OEC-T5
Software Version: EL-50448

I don’t have a DIC switch yet, will the...
Time to swap my winter wheels for my summer wheels.
With the COVID lockdown and my friendly local tire shop shut down I would like to get the program unit to reset the TPMS myself.
I still haven’t added the DIC switch to my SSV.
Anyone have any help on what I need to do this?
The shop guy...
Yes, manuals are a great source.

I have a 2012 owners manual + a 2014 police supplement.
Just trying to verify (or refute) advice on updates to original factory recommendations.
Thanks to all for understanding and tolerance of dumb questions.
Yeah, that's it. I don't want to be another KNUCKLEHEAD but when somebody is telling me the factory uses thinnest possible viscosity to get fractionally better MPG, well it does sound believeable.
Factory says Dex6, mine has run 100K so far and still seems good so I guess fresh Dex6 might run...
... but, SilveradoSierra.com has a bad result story from SyncroShift.

So , I have done some more internet research.
Bob the Oil guy has a thread that says Dexron 6 in a transfer case is a bad idea and GM came out with an update
Precaution: DEXRON-VI in Manual Transmissions
When DEXRON-III is indicated as the fluid fill for manual transmissions and transfer...
