    Brake Fluid Flush

I want to change all of the fluid, including what is in the ABS portion of the system. The dealership wants $160 to do it. I'll just pay them. Not worth buying a high dollar scanner, to save $160.

    Brake Fluid Flush

Hello all. My wife just took our 2018 Yukon XL Denali into the dealership for an oil change. They told her it needs a brake fluid flush. I'm out of town for work, will be back in two weeks. I am mechanically capable, built a few older cars from the frame up, but haven't worked on the newer...

    Trailer Towing Question

I tow a car trailer with my jeep on it a few times a year. Use it to drag home junk cars once in a while. Tow vehicle is our 2018 Yukon XL Denali, that has Arnott air bags on the back with the mag ride delete dummy sensors. On the last trip I didn't bother to pull the ramps to unload, and the...

    Arnott AS-3429 Failure

The shaft threaded back on to the top hat with no problem, threads are just fine. No rotation at time of install, took just under two years and 18k miles to unthread themselves. I am hopeful they remembered the red loctite on this pair. I won't be buying another pair, but will continue to...

    Arnott AS-3429 Failure

Do you have a recommendation for a replacement? I want to retain the air bags for towing, but delete the mag-ride. I do not mind a separate simulator for the mag-ride bypass.

    Arnott AS-3429 Failure

I installed them at 93k, truck currently has 111k. Little less than 20k miles in just under 2 years.

    Arnott AS-3429 Failure

I hooked the airlines up, started the truck, and sprayed the fittings with soapy water. No leaks. Fair odds I'll ignore it until it becomes a problem, kind of my style.

    Arnott AS-3429 Failure

SO.... I installed a pair of Arnott AS-3429 shocks on the back of the wife's Yukon XL just about 2 years ago. She told me the other day the truck was real bouncy in the back. Both top hats of the shocks have come loose from the shock shaft, threads are fine just unthreaded. Driver's side...

    P0700 and U0100

It's been almost two years and the truck did the same thing again yesterday morning. We were at home this time, headed out together. Truck glitched out, so we took the car. I checked the codes this afternoon and got the same two codes again. I cleared the codes and it immediately reset the...

    Spark Plugs for 6.2L

I just got done changing the plugs and wires. Wasn't the worst set of plugs I've changed, but close. Driver's side I did from the top, no problem. I pulled the passenger tire and wheel liner to access from the side. Wasn't that bad, except for cylinder 8. My truck has the rear heat and a/c...

    Spark Plugs for 6.2L

Thanks for the tip. I had a 02 Z28 years ago. On that one it was easiest to change the plugs when installing long tube headers. Already had the motor mounts undone, power steering pump loose, and motor jacked up until the trans hit the tunnel. Hopefully her truck goes easier than that Camaro.

    Spark Plugs for 6.2L

Amusingly enough, I ordered those exact plugs and wires yesterday. I'm not really mad at the garage for the price they quoted, I'm just too cheap to pay that kind of money for a simple job. Their time has value and I understand the job, while simple, does take time. Now, if they were cracking...

    Spark Plugs for 6.2L

I've wrenched on my own cars for years now. The Yukon is due for plugs and wires. Any common pitfalls to avoid? Any tricks to make the job simpler? Considering the dealership wants $600 for the job, I imagine it must be a PITA.

    Air Shocks not Pumping Up?

This thread hasn't gotten much traction, but want to close the loop on this one incase someone searches in the future. I ordered a new compressor and that solved the issue. Compressor pumped up and shut off when reached pressure. Did a leak check with soapy water, no leaks observed. I am...

    Air Shocks not Pumping Up?

I think I found the relay, I am assuming it is the one taped to the harness by the fuse panel on the drivers side wheel well. I pulled the relay and checked voltage at pin 30, I got 6v to battery - terminal. That seems low - it may be my meter, or could it indicate a fault? I started the...
