Whipple supercharger is a twin screw type supercharger and Magnuson is a Roots style supercharger. The Whipple will make a little more power for the same amount of boost levels since they are a little more efficient due to it being a screw type (less power to turn, also doesn't heat up the air...- Bad70sbchevy
