    Exhaust noise

My opinion of two noises I heard: 1st noise at ~0:23s sounded like it was the starter motor and/or solenoid. 2nd noise at ~0:45s sounds a little like brake pad engagement on the rotor. Maybe the noise sounds different in person and it is possible that it is the exhaust valve/flap.

    New to Yukon world

Welcome to the forum! Good looking rig - very similar to mine. Aside from the engine checks I'd suggest doing a basic inspection for a used vehicle (fluids, etc). 28K miles isn't much but verifying these are in good condition should relieve some stress.

Proactive maintenance - New to me 2023 Yukon SLT 5.3 60k miles

For the trans fluid service, I'd wait for 120K and then do the service. I think the old train of thought to either stick with a service interval or don't touch it until it fails might not be the case any more thanks to modern lubricants with more manufacturers recommending service intervals...

Proactive maintenance - New to me 2023 Yukon SLT 5.3 60k miles

I've got almost the exact scenario as you except I moved up from a 2013 5.3L SLT. So far, I've done: - Oil change using M1 0w20 (per mfg spec), considering moving to 5w30 next change and using the forum recommended 5K change interval - Trans fluid & filter change (@ ~60K) using mfg spec fluids...

What are you using to touch up scratches on the black interior plastic

One method is to create your own texture tool using dent pull hot glue. Then use some filler material or just light sanding and spray paint. I used Rust-Oleum Flat Black to re-paint the center console on my 350Z not too long ago. It came out a little on the shiny side compared to OE finish...

What do I use to "polish" my 22" wheels

The dark pic in the OP is difficult to tell but the second close up pic shows the surface damage much better. My guess is that a previous owner used a chemical cleaner that was not compatible with the rim's finish and now you're going to be stuck with the degraded appearance until you decide to...

What are you using on your black leather interior trim?

My SLT has the same leather (possibly vinyl) covering the entire dash and I'm currently using the 303. I tried the Griot's leather care on the dash but didn't like it as much because it streaked and looked splotchy.

What are you using on your black leather interior trim?

303 is a very good product because it is "safe and effective" for multiple surfaces and has UV inhibitors in the solution. And yes, it can be used on black plastic and leather (except unfinished leather like suede). Here is the label on the bottle...

What are you using on your black leather interior trim?

My current lineup: Seats: Griot's Garage leather care spray Door & Dash Trim: 303 Aerospace I purchased my Yukon used and went through the interior with Meguiar's interior cleaner. This has some protectant properties and leaves a low shine finish.

    C-Pillar Trim?

Did some more research on this trim piece and I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier - GMC parts diagrams. Here is the assembly of the rear quarter trim attachments and they use multi-purpose retainers (P/N 11547581)...

    C-Pillar Trim?

To be clear, I suspect that may be a source of one (or more) rattles - the other location of interest is the passenger side fender liner. Thanks for the heads up on how it's attached to the body.

    C-Pillar Trim?

Hello Everyone. I've been tracking down a rattle that shows up at about freeway/highway speeds (50+ mph) and think the culprit may be the c-pillar trim as it has a some play at the top of the piece. Are there any tips for removing and reattaching this piece (pic provided for reference)? Are...

Using thicker oil in 2022 Tahoe 5.3L Engine

Same for me when I owned a 2013 Yukon with the 5.3L. 5w30 was specified and it ran well for me at trade in with 150K miles.
