2003 Tahoe 5.3 Flex a dog when accelerating

I'll give that a shot too next time I fill up. When I put my cat back on the new pipe touches the rear crossmember after the muffler. I wondered if that may be what is causing it so I sandwiched a spare rubber hanger in there and now have to take another reading.

Possibly....I hadn't even considered that. I need to find the time to get it back out and check the retard again with that rubber I shoved in to dampen the exhaust pipe and to from there Then I gotta start looking at 4.10's lol

2003 Tahoe 5.3 Flex a dog when accelerating

I know the thread has moved onto gears and other things so I have been wondering....is it worth switching out my 3.73's for 4.10's if I'm running 35" tires? I'm not trying to race anybody, I just want to be able to keep up with highway traffic and get up to speed in a reasonable time. Also tow a...

2003 Tahoe 5.3 Flex a dog when accelerating

Ok guys sorry I dropped off the thread, I've been in FLA on vacation and just got back a couple days ago. I was finally able to get this but I doubt it will help. My scan tool isn't the greatest but it's better than not having one at all. I grabbed my knock retard. It's 101 seconds long from a...

Another AC issue. Compressor only works with AC button off.

Lol tell me about it....yes everything else works as it should. Sometimes the temp doesn't go up or down with the knob and I have to spin it a couple times but this doesn't happen often.

Another AC issue. Compressor only works with AC button off.

Okay so after replacing my compressor, accumulator, orfice tube, evaporator core, low pressure sensor, many seals and blocking off and essentially eliminating my rear AC I finally got the system charged and my high and low manifold gauges reading around where they should be (around 50 on the low...

2003 Tahoe 5.3 Flex a dog when accelerating

I can graph it Mike so I will take it for another ride later and record the graph. Also mine slowly tapers off back to zero as well. The retard and timing also seems to be a little bit delayed from when I get on the throttle if that makes any sense. I have a No name aftermarket intake, Amazon...

2003 Tahoe 5.3 Flex a dog when accelerating

So I finally had a chance to mess with it and found the knock retard in my scan tool. It fluctuates between 0 and 6ish degrees when I really get on the gas. I have a Super 44 muffler so it can get loud sometimes but the change in retard didn't seem to coincide with when I was getting on the gas...

Which AC compressor do I need?

Yes it's 4WD. Yeah I was just going to remove the wheel and fender liner and do it that way but yeah everything is harder on a 4WD. I have to do my oil pan gasket and that will be hell between it being 4WD and the lift kit .

Which AC compressor do I need?

I have to just get under the truck and try to view it from different angles and hopefully I'll be able to tell which one from pictures.

Which AC compressor do I need?

Yeah that's what I was thinking I would probably have to do. I watched a YouTube video where one looked identical to the aone being replaced but the hole for the pressure sensor was deeper so I don't want to end up in a crapshoot.

Which AC compressor do I need?

Aux meaning rear air? Unfortunately that one says unavailable but I can try to find it somewhere else if that's the correct one.

Which AC compressor do I need?

I'm not sure if this is the right sub forum but I have an 03 Tahoe Z71 flex, I know there are a couple different AC compressors. Is there a way to tell which one I need to order without pulling it out of the truck first? I am hoping to not have to take it out until I have the replacement to put...

Any AC gurus? AC will only turn on if I jump the compressor at the fuse box

Yeah they do.. Not to mention I bought it right after covid when used car prices were insanely inflated so I paid a lot for it as it was. Thank you!

Any AC gurus? AC will only turn on if I jump the compressor at the fuse box

Yeah the way I look at it is I would never get anywhere close to what I feel its worth to me after the amount of money and time I put into it so why bother getting rid of it?
