    Still no luck finding what the real problem is for my Yukon. Filled it up with a higher octane gas and put a 2 cans of Sea Foam in the tank. There must be a cheap way to find the codes that the engine is throwing. None of the auto parts stores have a computer smart enough to read the code...

    Just took it up the road and the problem started up again. This time I made it all the way home and it stayed running. The Service Engine Soon light came on. This is the first time that the light has ever come on. So maybe now I can finally get a code out of the problem?

    Wiring Broke / Rear defroster

    The electrical line that connects to the back window (rear defroster) is removed. If I used super glue to reattach it, would the system work again? Or is it something more complex?

    Dash rattle

    What would be making a rattle on the driver's side dash. It sounds like a tin plate (firewall?) or something. Only happens on rough roads and bumps. I've looked underneath the dash and see nothing. Short of ripping the dash out (waiting till I get my new stereo) then what could it be?

    I will try to test the fuel pump. Will a dealer test that for free? The engine turns over just fine on a cold start. Regular warm starts are just fine too. On a hot start (after stalling) it sounds like it is flooded. So it takes multiple tries to fire it up. Even then the RPM's won't stay...

    Idle Stall

    It has never died on the highway. Only dies when I come to a stop. I have seen no correlation with the amount of fuel in the tank. I had close to a full tank the other morning when it died. Down to a 1/4 tank now and about to go on a trip. So it will be interesting to see what happens.
