dude i appriciate the shit outa this truck i got it at a hell of price proly coulda went cheaper but i wanted it. . . and you never mentioned nothin about 35s thats y i said it. . . and the bowtie has no clips or anything just two shafts to slide in the grill but it dont fasten so ya . . . if i didnt appriciate this truck man id be taken it out an slingn mud an never washin it like my previous trucks but they didnt mean much to me . . . just caught the dam thing on fire yesterday to cuz whoever had the train hornes on threw the wire up threw the coil spring of the hood an whene i opened the hood it cringed it an smoked up and bought melted threw all the fuse wires but i caught it in time i just hope it dont run hot any where else . . . but ya thats the truck man i just thought it would be kool to talk to you and show you it really hasnt changed and that you had a pretty sweet ride . . . really ain no since in bein a dick i am 18 and i can honestyl type how i want man sorry not bein rude but thats how i am no disrespect

iv had alota trade offers on it and offered 8 grand but i said no still kinda thinking on it cant determine wheather i should keep it or not iv drove it in florida for 2 weeks and drove it back to indiana it didnt do to bad on gas for what it is of course its missing fire in cylinder 1 and 4 every once in a while but thats just wires or a cap . . . dude said bumper was somethin that started with a B like boush idk bumper lights dont work cuz the wireing job is horrible and its got a valve cover gasket leak and a bolt missin from the center of rear axle but its still goin ok just ain got time for any of it or the kash now but there it is . . . its gonna have chrome side steps or running bords on it and proly 40 super swampers on it ain decided yet but thats after everything gets fixed and i get my money . . .

i remember seeing that hoe on here and snatched up a couple pictures of it in its past glory. if you beat the shit out of your last trucks i don't want to see what will happen to that poor truck.

lol dude i don't know how to get the spell check to work for reall lol i cant beleive you all macken on me like this but its kool i understand lol . . . and ya i got 40s for it all ready but there on a 8 lug rim which look pretty sweet and would totally go with the truck but i don't know if i should get the adapters for it or not i'v ben told not to and i'v ben told it won't matter i just don't wanna waist the money that i don't even have to spend you know what i mean. . . ( and the train horn install ) i don't know how it was don the first time but somebody bypassed it and i don't know its all ****** up they had the wire runing threw the coil spring on the hood and when i opened the hood it grounded it and smoked up and the wire was layin across the fuse box and fuse wires and bout warped everything but i burnt shit outa my self stopen in before that happend it don't even hav hornes on it now they took them off and just left the shit live so i got my system runnin off part of it i guess. . . hows that for spellen man

What internet browser do you use? Not sure on IE, but Firefox it will be underlined red if you misspell a work. I think on the more recent IE, they do the same thing. Same way as how Microsoft Word will correct you.
I don't care if you wheel it. I wheel the living crap out of mine. In fact, I'm going to tear mine down and rebuild it at some point. (60Front, 14FF Rear, 39's, rollcage, lots of fender trimming, yada yada yada)
Build it right for how you want it. Don't just hack it together and "make it look cool". Just do some simple research, 40's on IFS is a disaster waiting to happen. Trust me. If your dead set on 40's, then you'll want a Dana60 Front axle, and a 14Bolt FF rear. Also, you'll need a crossover steering set up with a hydroassist. At the least to run them correctly.

ya man i totally agree to that im not looken to be fake or anything like that . . . and your' ride sounds like some sweet potential man . . . the only thing im worried bout messen up on the truck is driven it with that bolt missin out of the bottom of the center axel i can see part of the gasket so i would figure there aint any gear oil in but it don't give me any problems and i haven't seen it leak so i don't know maybe its nothin

and instead of haven to do all that what if i just put 38s on it i think thats the smallest set i can get that i don't have to pay an arm and leg for . . . with them bein super swamp boggers it would still look really good but just not quite as big

Thanks. It's nothing special right now, just another lifted IFS Chevy. I'm still collecting/researching for my swap and rebuild.
Just go to your local GM dealer and pick one up. Keep an eye on it until you get that bolt in there. Not sure how much it will cost, but I'm assuming about 2 or 3 dollars. Don't quote me on that though, lol.
If you're worried about the fluid level, pull the fill plug (located on the passenger side, towards the top of the differential) and check the fluid. If you stick your finger in it, you should be able to feel fluid just below it.

it's a 14 bolt, it has 13 other bolts holding the cap in place
it's been like that since I swapped the axle under it and no problems.

lol ha yupp nice to be young . . . so what axel dose it have in it then . . . i was told it has 4:56 gears in it . . . is it possy traction or solid axel becouse i can't tell whene i done a burn out it locked both wheels and smoked them so i would say its solid right . . . ?

Posi-Traction and a Solid Axle are two different things. A "posi-track" is a traction device used in a "solid axle". A solid axle is what you have in the rear of your truck. According to your trucks former owner, it's a 14bolt. I'd assume (don't take my word on this though) and say it's a 14 bolt SF (Semi Float). The front axle will be the GM IFS 8.25.
You're rear axle is a solid rear axle. Front is IFS. Independent Front Suspension.
There are a few different types of "traction devices" used in solid axles. Just google some of them. Lockers, LSD's, Lockout's, Spools, Mini-Spools, Welded Differentials. Yada yada yada

Do yourself a favor bud, start researching about your truck. Crawl under and take a look at everything. Understand what axles you have, and lift you have. Once you have a good/full understanding about your truck, then start deciding on what you want to do with it. And what/how you wanna build it.

ya ight i understand that . . . the only thing i ever understood was that a possi only allowed one wheel to slip and a solid allowed both wheels to spin wheather one was stuck or not but ya il research it . . . just about everything that i do know how to do on the truck from changen a spark plug to dropen the engine is from teaching my self iv never really had someone to actually run me through everything and how everything works i guess i just found it easyer makeing my self look dum by asking so many questions lol. . . but thanks for advise man

You have a 14BSF. My guess is it has a locker or Trutrac or something close to that

What you're thinking of would be called an "open" axle. Meaning that the axle does not have any traction device installed.

I do not know a ton (anything at all) about the g80 in the 14 bolt. I'll go out on a limb and say it is much stronger than it's little brother though? Please correct me if I am wrong though.
