LT header ?'s

Ok, ive got a 2000 z71 tahoe and im wanting to put long tubes and full exhaust on it here within the next month. Who all makes long tubes for it? And will the headers for a 4x4 truck work on it also? I was told no one makes a long tube header for mine they just make shorties, dont know if they are yanking my chain or not. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Not to hijack, but who makes headers for the LQ4s? Or will ones for the 5.3 fit since the blocks are dimensionally identical?

You'll want the longtubes and ypipe for the 4.8/5.3. Exhaust on the 6.0 trucks is a bit different or you'll have to redo the whole exhaust like I did. Headers are all the same tho.

staying with this theme, what is different about the 6.0 exhaust? is it just the bends to accomidate the vehcile or are the parts (cats and muffler) completely different?

a friend of mine is interested in getting a set of LT headers for his 04 silverado ss. i`ve searched and can`t find a set that comes with a Y pipe and cats. will running an off road y cause it to fail inspection? in NY we have to get inspections at garages and they never check to see if there are any cats on a vehicle so thats not a problem. but they check emissions. but from what i know, if the check engine light isn`t on you`ll pass.


i found this set that looks like has cats but i`m not sure. anyone here know anything good/bad about them?

have the SES (service engine soon) off with a Blackbear tune after header and ORY pipe is installed

hell yeah sounds good man, what muffler are you running. Ive got a 2 chamber FM right now but i was thinking of going corsa later on??
