6.2 liter recall completed

Just got my 6.2 liter recall completed today on my 2023 Yukon Denali manufactured at Arlington in June/23 at the dealer where I purchased it.
- knock sensors attached as well as scan tool, varied rpms
etc…. Nothing detected
- changed oil to 0W40/filter (Mobile 1 supercar) new oil filler cap, insert in maintenance manual
- new 10 year/150,000 mile engine warranty.

This new oil doubles the cost of an oil change to over $200 from $110!! I asked the Service Mgr who’s going to pay for this added cost..he didn’t have an answer!

Has anyone started a class action suit action suit for this added maintenance cost?
I know there’s one for reduced mileage

That’s outrageous. 80% increase. The price difference between the two oils is negligible. I hate it when somebody calls me stupid by trying to pick my pocket. First gm and now the dealership is pilling on.

…plus they didn’t have this oil in stock since they don’t use it for any GMC vehicle, so the parts guy had to go down the road to a local auto parts store to purchase it!!!
They should have tried Wally World

.. no I’m/we are not going to be responsible for more expensive oil. Before I bought it, and up to today the engine was advertised to use 0W20 oil, not 0W40 Mobil 1 supercar oil
I had the dealer write on my invoice what they used for oil prior to signing the invoice
