also have a built up 87 monte carlo with big block and fresh 5000$ paint job for a possible trade for the right 2 door.

I live in Cincinnati and have owned 7 OBS Silverados, 3 Tahoes and a Yukon. Regardless of the miles, all have been a PIA to work on because of rusted suspension parts. Two months ago I found a 99 2dr 2WD Tahoe with 171,000 miles on it about an hour and a half south of Dallas. The plane ride and 18 hour drive back to Cincinnati was worth it. I can use hand tools instead of impacts to work on it. Riviera rider, if you can find a Tahoe for sale in Texas or anywhere down south, buy it quick!

I'll second the buy Southern concept.
I looked in the Northest for a full year, every 2 door has some form of rust on or under the doors. Finally found one in NC, one owner 90K miles an I bought it.
What a pleasure to work on...NO RUST.
Worth paying more up frontt to save time later

Found mine in GA. 2400 mile road trip.
I was surprised to be able to break all the bolts with just hand tools.
Definately worth the trip.

mine came from north carolina and it was brought to tx and then repoed then i got it no rust exept for a lil surface that aint nuthin. a good deal of sand unler some seals tho, dont know why
