My 2017 Escalade is having random silences (channel program goes silent) unrelated to reception. When it happens, the screen does not show any lost signal message. It can happen anytime unrelated to location or antenna view. In fact, I have a Sirius Sportster radio I've installed with its own antenna and its getting reception despite the built in car radio going silent.
I am suspecting its probably the tuner module that's defective since the screen does not show the antenna losing signal during the silent episodes.
Does anyone know if replacing the tuner module involves breaking down the dash vs replacing a module behind the glovebox area?
