Ahhhh....the backspacing issue makes sense. I was thinking in terms if strictly wheel diameter and not offset. Good point indeed :waytogo:

So it is possible to run stock wheels off an 08 with some spacers? I'm speaking of the BDS lift kit.

The stock wheels are 16x7. Technically thats too narrow for a 285 or wider tire. Many people put 285's on them anyway, but it is not recommended by the tire manufacturer and will probably not wear as well as the proper rim width. Look up the tech specs on the tire's website and it will give you a recommended range of widths. A 285's best width is 8.5". You want to be in the middle of what is recommended.
