No one has been able to answer this and I can't find an answer on line. Front right side wheel on my wife's Yukon has about 1/4" or 1/8" of play top to bottom when wiggling the wheel. Does it need new bearings

Usually free play like that could indicate a worn bearing. Are you forcing it to move with a lot of strength? Your not moving the ball joints are you? Is it making any noises? Try pulling the wheel of and check the hub itself.....

+1 Check for pulling (in the steering) too.
