Transmission replacement costs?

I am not a transmission specialist by no means but I am a numbers guy. How did a $5500 price from the mechanic get to a $7k estimate? So the fluid is close to $150 to $200 and the difference is the $1300 labor? At $130 an hour that is 10 hours. Is he 80 years old. C'mon man!

Always go on the dealership website for coupons. Also the chevrolet parts website is generally cheaper than what they quote so I'd order it off there and have it sent to the dealer. Usually free shipping to GM dealers and they have coupons as well.
