Transmission Cooler Lines

Please forgive me for letting the novice inside show, but I could use a little assistance. I've been working on installing the GM Accessories auxiliary transmission cooler. I have located everything and I know what the job entails, but there is one thing that is me stuck. How do the transmission cooler lines disconnect? Is there a special tool that I need to have? GM send to have omitted this information from its printed installation instructions. Once this is sorted out I will be able to do the project.
