Just checking but will the 2001 4L60e fit the obs 99's? I'm thinking yes but... ya never know. I cant find a reliable interchange any where.

I'd be weary. I read a trade article about the changes the 4l60e has had over the years. It was probably 3-4 pages long. Minor details like check balls and springs and pumps ect.

They all bolt up as far as I know but doesn'tean they are the same internally

The pump being different isn't a minor detail ... If it's an older one piece case it should be close enough unless you happen to get a 95 or before, the 95 was a single year only. 96-2000ish should be the same as long as it's the same case like I said.

it should assuming it has a two piece housing it will fit down to 1998 or maybe 1997 but not lower years with because of the housing type. rewire maybe needed.

Thanks.... Sounds like I should just find a 98-99. Slim pickens on Craigslist and eBay seems to have turned into a vendor site.
