TPMS compatibility question

I purchased a 16 Tahoe and have a set of chrome 20" aftermarket wheels with TPMS in them that I had on my 2011.

Are the sensors compatible with the 16?

They might be but you will still need to have them synced to the truck.

Depends on frequency. The '16 sensors are 315Mhz. Not sure what the old ones are? As stated, the truck will need to learn the new sensors, which is not hard but does require a TPMS scan tool.

Why not just swap over the '16 sensors?

I live in New England. Factory wheels are for the winter. Chrome for everything else.
