Small GMC light (foot kick location)

My small GMC logo that lights on the ground no longer shows clearly and instead looks like a smudge with barely noticeable letters.

Has anyone had this issue? I looked to see if maybe its water stains but thats not it. Planning to take it to the dealer to get replaced but was wondering if this is something i will have to consider an ongoing issue.

Sometimes they fill with water and have to be warranted out… could be your issue.

I had that exact same issue on my Yukon (the light projected down where you swipe your foot to open the rear hatch). It leaked and was full of condensation. Covered under warranty and fixed quickly. No issues in the past 8k miles since I noticed it around 2k.

That was one of many minor issues my first 21 Yukon had. Warranty replacement.

Exact same issue happened on my wife's 2019 Cadillac XT4. Fixed under warranty, light is clear and sharp now.
