I have searched the site but cannot find anyone with the same problem. I have an 04 Yukon and cannot get the rear caliper off. I have removed the two caliper bolts. The caliper move about a half inch up down out, but it will not come off. It feels like it is hitting something on the back side. Any ideas? I spent about two hours trying to wiggle it off.

Thanks

pull it hard, you've probably built a grove into your pads from the caliper. mine were hard but a good yank and they came off

Take a big c-clamp and compress the outer pad and the back of the caliper to push the piston back in a little.
