I been trying to tighten down my top ball joints after installing mcgaughys drop spindles, it came with a locking nut for the joint every time i try to tighten it, it just spins the shaft on the ball joint because of the locking part of the nut can i just use a normal nut with lock tight because im running out of options

Put a jack under the spindle and let the weight of the truck seat the ball joint into the spindle, this should stop the ball joint from spinning.
