Possible to clear 04 Tahoe bumper lights?

I have a 2004 hoe and was reading through the thread on clearing nbs bumper lights, but that was for a Yukon.

I took my lens off the bumper light from my hoe and the amber piece looks to be molded into the lens itself rather than a separate piece. Any ideas??

get some clear spray paint.
cpl light coats and it will be clear.

Can I sand it off then? How would the clear make the orange go away?

it will go away cause your spraying clear on it

Wouldn't that be like spraying clear over base paint and the color remains? Just thinking logically here, not to say you're wrong, however.

Ummmm....you're not goig to make the orange go away by painting them clear you need to buy new ones or bake them and pull it apart but it doesn't always work because sometimes the amber is built into the outer lens
