Working on a chrome delete for my 2012 white Tahoe LTZ. If it was black this would be so much easier. Thinking about using the plasti dip smoke to just dull it a bit, have seen some neat stuff out there. Has anyone done anything similar?

I did it to the chrome lettering on my 16 Tahoe, did the black and it turned out awesome. I think I did 3 or 4 coats

I plasti dipped the bumpers front and rear and a few other emblems/pieces of my old ranger. It actually held on very well for about 4 years and was still on there about a year after I sold it.

Only complaint I ever had was the fading which really showed after 2 years. It was alright on a dated ugly pickup truck and it got rid of the chrome but wow that fading was awful. Does the smoke product work like normal plasti dip? Ie removeable?

Could try the brushed look but idk how that’ll work with plastic trim pieces.

edit: didn’t realize this was a month old lol
