1 Parking Brake Control 20970875
2 Parking Brake Shoe Kit 15817020 or 171-0992
1 Intermediate Cable 20848628
1 Rear Cable, Left 20756278
1 Rear Cable, Right 25952160

You did not say which vehicle, it matters I think if it is short or long and especially if it is a 2500 versus a 1500.

The above information is for my vehicle and we just replaced the parking brake shoes, the cables and control are fine. Inspect your cables. Plug in your VIN at GMPARTSDIRECT and then look these up to make sure they're right for you.

Well definitely check the cable part numbers then, I posted for my regular length truck, not them short ones.
First time doing the job will I need to replace everything or just the shoes? When I had the shocks replace they mentioned my pads were low only. I am replacing my pads this weekend and figured I do it also.

If your cables look fine and are not frayed or broken, just change the shoes and then after adjusting them, see if you need to adjust the cables. We did not have to adjust the cables.
