Ok guys I want to remove the onstar buttons and place 2 rocker switches in this location.

First how and can I remove these buttons without the truck throwing a security code or problem.
And do they sell a plastic cover for this part of the dash?

Why would I want to reroute them instead of just remove them? They have no use.

I also just unplugged and removed mine on my '02 Denali. There are flat OEM panels that snap into this space that are perfect for mounting switches in. I got mine on EBay.
