My HVAC smells like mold and mildew.

Hey ya'll. everytime i turn on the heat in my 1999 tahoe, it smells like old ass dust and mildew. How do i get rid of this?? I thought to change the in cabin filter but mine doesnt have one..... I need help because its starting to get cold here

I just did this. It worked for about an hour and the smell is starting to come back but not as much, i dont think. I guess i'll have to try it again. I sprayed lysol on the core too.

it was not designed for it there are certain chemicals made for that certain task.
