Hey guys, I just joined the group and have a question about wheel fitment. I got a 96 Sport that is bone stock and have been wanting to trick it out for some time and figured I would start with the wheels. I like the Mickey Thompson classic II wheels 16x8 with a 4 7/16" back space but the Summit racing site says they won't fit. I am looking to people with real world experience. Will these wheels fit?

I cannot answer your question, but I would like to add that you have excellent taste in wheels, lol.

I have 265/75R16 on now. Won't be upgrading for awhile, maybe up to 285/70R16 when my current tires need replaced.

The wider wheel in addition to the less back spacing, rubbing will happen. stick with teh 265s if you get those wheels, if you are going to lift in teh future get even less back spacing like 4-4.5"

I just put 16x8 285 75 r16 with 4 7/16 back spacing on my 97 2 door and they come really close but no rub.... no lift on the truck but only 70,000 easy miles. The tires i have are Hankook a/t's not too aggressive might be why i have no rub... I will prob crank the t-bars and add a block in the back in the near future....
