L31 Oil Pressure

Still learning the truck, I was watching my oil pressure for most of the day and want to inquire about the fluctuations.

With engine at operating temp, idle is just above 20, hard accell is about 42 and cruise is a hair below 38. I only raise an eyebrow because it's such a large sweep. (I'm used to Buick 3.8 turbos and 3800s which Flux, maybe 10).

Sunlit, do you recommend 5w-30 or 10w-30 for the 350? Which brand?

typically the 5w-30 is used unless you are in an extreme hot or cold climate. mobil 1 is probably the best out there. i use there synthetic with either a fram, mobil 1 or k&n filter.

Is it really worth going to full synthetic in these engines? I've heard it's just as good to change it every 5k miles. I've just been using the GM filter. I think I'll change to FRAM.

oem filters are good too. for personal use gm only needs 7500 miles. going synthetic only does good not harm. it is not just for certain cars or engines.
