L.E.D Interior conversion...pics!

So I ordered these for my maps to replace the crappy bulbs from superbrightleds
I removed the one led bulb & put in the new v-led & it started smoking then saw a small spark. I removed it immediately & saw that for whatever reason it fried the jacket wrapped just below the heat sink & the connector. So I put in the other v-led bulb in the same socket & BAM that thing lit up. You could land airplanes w/that! Ok slight exaggeration. No idea why the 1st one fried but I took a couple of pics of the bulb & emailed v-leds. They shipped out a replacement right away & it should arrive today. Can't wait to get it in. There is a HUGE difference between the 2 bulbs. Right now I have a v-led bulb in one map & the superbrightled in the other. The superbrightled is pathetic. Now I gotta swap the switched domes.
Those are 578 bulbs but from the looks of that bulb on v-leds it doesn't look like it'll fit. 01tahoenjn did you use nathan's list for your switched dome's?

as far as my 06 tahoe i had an issue with my map and outer dome lights being dim. they were only getting 5v to them so i ran a new wire to them and upped it to 12v. they are bright as the others now

The canbus festoons will fix your dimming problem also. Much easier than running extra wires.

as far as my 06 tahoe i had an issue with my map and outer dome lights being dim. they were only getting 5v to them so i ran a new wire to them and upped it to 12v. they are bright as the others now

You get what you pay for buddy I've learned my lesson to many times

Whatever man....the output is great and the fitment is nice. If they don't last as long as the others then I can reorder mine and still save money. A bulb is a bulb to me

your bulbs are all around a 1/4 less than the ones i bought...So
IF they do die quicker than expected and you buy the same again your actually spending more when you THOUGHT you were saving...

I'm not bashing on you at all I'm just saying ive tried ebay lights they work.. how long? not much

oh im relaxed dude, but i have bought bulbs before from ebay. years ago and they were working just fine when i sold the wifes mazda6. and the same ones are going fine in my crv. the bulbs i bought for the tahoe came with extras. why do you think i bought 20 of them. that way i did have extra dome bulbs just in case. this debate can go on forever. theres ebay haters and ebay lovers. we will agree to disagree.
