interior gauges, lights, etc. cutting out..

I have a 2004 Tahoe z71. one of my problems right now that is bothering me first off, is my switch lights, climate controls, etc lights are all going out. on top of that my gauges, and message center work when they want to. This drives me nuts. I can tap the dash and it will come back on. i know it should just be a loose connection wiring wise, but all my control lights too? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 04 yukon denali and my dash gauges stopped working Saturday night.
I did some quick searching and found a lot about loose power or ground wires. I also found that the dash bezel had a recall on it. I am going to the dealership today to find out if that is part of the problem...
