How to open rear hatch window?

I am a new owner of a 2002 Tahoe LS. I noticed the rear cargo door had a handle on the window so I searched for a way to open it and came up with nothing. I've tried google and searching this forum and see people mentioning a button. But I can't find a button.. I don't have a key fob so I was thinking maybe it's on there?
Where is this button to open the window on the liftgate?
I took the panel off and was able to trigger the release mechanism to open the window. So I know it opens.

You should have a button like the one in the picture to the left of the wiper arm.

Thanks. I have a key hole there. I pushed it and it popped right open!

I've been trying to push that button, use the key, etc and for the life of me, can't get that window to open! Any thoughts?

Sounds like your mechanism may be frozen. Pull the inner trim panel of the rear hatch and poke around.

The key for the ignition also unlocks the button. Once unlocked it'll pop right open.
