i have a 2020 Yukon with the 5.3L. Has anyone done the resonator and flapper valve delete but kept the factory muffler. I did it on my 2014 Tahoe with 5.3 and it gave me that subtle extra sound i was looking for. For whatever reason the new trucks exhaust looks slightly different but then again i can't remember the last time i ever climbed under my 2014 when i had. Just looking for a very mild sound enhancement.

I took the resonator off my '12 Tahoe. Installed a short pipe angled out. It's hard to find a pipe to fit over the big pipe on the Tahoe. (think it has a 2.5" O.D. exhaust) The sound did not change much at all. That resonator is heavy....so at least I dumped some weight. Good luck !

I was looking at doing just the resonator delete myself. I've seen some owners using the SLP delete from the 07-14 models and just slightly modifying it to work on the 15-20 models. SLP Part # 31059. There looks to be another company making it too. PLM for just a bit cheaper than the SLP version.
