Just read that as well. The air conditioning things has me though. I never would have thought 3mpgs just for running the a/c.

I keep the windows on my Tahoe up at all times. Either the air conditioner is on or the heater is on. I just don't care for dirt all over the interior of the vehicle. Maybe that's why on my last tank of gas used just for local driving I averaged 11.99 MPG. So much for that EPA pie-in-the-sky ratings garbage.

I agree. A little engine with little pistons will struggle more with any load.

In our tests of a Honda Accord, using air conditioning while driving at 65 mph reduced the vehicle's gas mileage by more than 3 mpg.
