Dash Lights Not Dimming

Anyone ever have their dash lights not dim when turning down the dimmer? I keep them about half way down and tonight while driving home they got bright like I didn't have them dimmed down at all. They started working again after tapping on the switch, but they'd also turn back to full bright if I tapped too long. Figured I'd look into it this weekend, but seeing if anyone else has had this problem.

my dash lights would not dim and my dash board with flicker. my light control module for the dash board was going bad, it might be that. Hope that helps you.
