I'm hoping to order a cam this week and will be having it tuned in person after install.

stock 2005 2500 4x4 suburban with quadrasteer, stock torque converter, 89 octane, airaid mit cai.

Here are a few I was looking at, hoping to stay under $500.

Cheapest with ls6 springs-https://www.briantooleyracing.com/truck-stage-ii-cam.html

Seems like the best choice but a little more expensive-http://www.vincihiperformance.com/camshaft spec list page ls truck.html

Recommended by a friend-https://www.texas-speed.com/p-5004-texas-speed-stage-3-low-lift-216220-550550-truck-camshaft.aspx

I use the truck to drive my 4 boys around and to tow occasionally.

Open to suggestions and I really appreciate the help.

I don't have any experience with any of these guys but iirc @Rocket Man used the vinci cam. Hopefully he'll chime in. I'm sure you're already aware, that along with cam it's adviseable to do pushrods and better springs, which are all supporting mods. Good luck.

I have the Vinici trucker cam. It may be a little more than you want since the power level is shifted slightly upward. They also suggest dual springs and a higher than stock stall. The ultra torque may be a better option because it makes power in the lower rpms, but that one suggest dual springs and hardened pushrods too. just don't spec your cam to that of a car so your truck will be a pig down low. I also run bigger injectors and would recommend you do valve seals while you are in there.

maybe someone has a cam that fits what you want without doing extra supporting mods.

The 080 torque cam with springs and pushrods is $ 649 shipped plus $400 for the local tune puts me just over $1000.

Think it's worth it?
