I can't find any 4114 bulbs on superbrightleds so I was wondering if I could just purchase some 3157 LEDs and call it a day?
I know they went with the 4114 because they produce less heat and last longer or something, but since it is LEDs that shouldn't be a problem correct?

Thanks.

That's fine but either buy or make yourself some load resistors and tap them to the stock wiring harness just to help prolong the life. Mine have been working perfectly with no issues for 5 months

I had a 4137 light bulb burn out and replaced both with 3157 silver star bulbs. The side that burned out is still out. the 10 amp fuse was burned. Any ideas? I hope its not a short.

What was the wattage of those Silverstar's? The 3157 LED's I had would'nt clear the opening so I kept them in the brake light (smoked XBR's ??). Did'nt feel like pulling out the "Dremel". A buddy has it done in his Tahoe, no problems that I know of, a year ago.

Vleds sells 3157's better output then superbright..!!

True, I had some of the really bright, $70 ones. Burned out in just a few months. I didn't get a resistor or anything because they told me I didn't need it for DRL's....maybe they were wrong??

I'm skipping LED's on lights that I can get a ticket for if they aren't functional from now on....
