not sure where im going to pull power from for the heated seats.i have a 6disc cd changer as well as an old tube tv and vcr in the center console that im going to remove, but i dont think either is pulling 20A.id prefer to splice&solder the lines vs an add a circuit.any suggestions would be swell

in hindsight this should be in the electronics section...mods please either move this or delete it.sorry for being a dumbass

The main power feed was drawn from a 20 amp fuse using 16ga automotive grade wire from the under hood block. The ignition switch section is powered thru the rr hvac 10 amp fuse off the interior fuse block but it went to the convenience center first and was tapped in and connected there.

That much amperage you should add a circuit using a relay. You can pull an ignition on signal for the relay from multiple places using a test light.

This.

Don't compromise when it comes to high draw electrical circuts in a vehicle.
Your risking Fire!

The heated seat elements are controlled by the relay built into the control module. Assuming you are using the complete seat heater system.

Tap the main supply line off the battery or the feed terminal off the fuse block. Use one of the ign switch fuses under the hood to tap into a switched source. But being as how the your main feed wire is setup with a 10 amp fuse it might be in your interest to hook up to the aux power or cig lighter circuits.

got everything installed.heated seats are awesome.pulled power from the underhood fuse block and got an ignition signal from the rear defrost circuit...id like to get the ignition signal from the remote starter circuit so the seat heaters come on with the remote start, but i didnt feel like messing with it
