2014 5.3 LMG to 2008 6.0 LY6 - Will the LMG tune be able to start the LY6?

Or, will I need to swap the LMG injectors into the LY6 intake manifold/fuel rail?

Can the ECU correct for the displacement difference?

Might start it? Even if it does, it'll likely have enough trouble idling, that I'd advise against shifting it into 'D'.
It's not as simple as a displacement difference, or displacement and injectors.

You will need the ECU tuned if you're keeping the LMG one. If at all possible, try to acquire the LY6 ECU with the engine and it should be a direct swap and fire right up. You can then have the VIN changed on the LY6 ECU.

I'm assuming you just have a long block if you are asking about swapping the intake manifold? I believe the gen 4 truck intakes are all the same but I am not 100% certain. Hopefully someone who knows will chime in.

The engine came with no loom or ECU.

I have the complete engine, but it had no loom or ECU.

In that case, your current harness and ECU should work. You will just need it retuned to 6.0 parameters. I see you have a Blackbear tune currently, they should be able to help you out reflashing it.
From what I had read, the 2008 engine is plug'n'play with the existing 2014 loom, so I'm assuming I can load a canned 6.0 tube to get up and running, and then do some data-logging with my AutoCalV3.

One of the differences I see is the difference between 6.0 and 5.3 fuel injectors (flow rate). The 5.3 looks to have larger?

Looks like there are 2 different injectors that came on the LY6: 12580681 is 30lb/hr and 12587269 is 40lb/hr

LMG uses 12613411 36lb/hr

All are 58psi and EV6 style. Both engines are 9.6:1 CR

LMG has a smaller combustion chamber (799/243 heads: 65cc) vs the LY6 (5364/823 heads: 70cc).

Good info, thanks.
