LOOKING TO DO A BUILT MOTOR INSTALL IN MY TAHOE AND ALSO DO A TRANS SWAP FOR BETTER GAS MILAGE. ENGINE WOULD BE CRATE FROM JEGS, 460HP...WHAT IS INVOLVED FOR TUNING FOR ENGINE?...TRANS. SWAP JUST A PLUG AND. PLAY?....WHICH TRANS IS BETTER OPTION?...

TAHOE IS MY DAILY AND I PULL A CAR TRAILER SOMETIMES...NOTHING CRAZY HEAVY, BUT WANT MORE POWER AND A LITTLE BETTER FUEL MILAGE WOULDN'T HURT.

PLUGS ALL THE SAME?...BASICALLY JUST AN R&I JOB FOR BOTH THEN TUNE?...

i went from a 6l80 to a 4l80, different plugs for sure.

if he has a 4l60 going to 4l80, i think the plugs are the same but there may be a pin or two to move. or like BBT says i think you can command the solenoids to shift in the order needed in the tune to work for a 4l80

transmission is longer so will need driveshaft(s)

doubt it would yield better gas mileage tho, 4l80 has a tall 1st gear, less over drive .750 to .696 and a lot more rotating mass than a 4l60. but it would be miles ahead in strength
