00 OBS Tahoe push button map light

I am having an issue with the push button map light in my Tahoe these are the 2 push button lights to the left and right of the dome light above the driver and passenger seat headrests. 1 is working with no issues the other turns on when it is pushed in then when released to use the light it shuts off . It will not stay on for use changed the bulb but still the same issue any help with this would be great thanks .
