    um why would you need to ground the hood? i mean, i have the fixed bolt on my hood but no covered cable running from where the chassis ground mounts on the firewall. i always thought that was for a underhood light. lol.

    yes they do come apart. rather easy too. hardest part is getting the glass off without breaking it. a long thin standard screwdriver will allow you to reach the ring tab that holds the mirror back to the motor. there are several tabs in the ring that need to be undone for the mirror come off...

    not always are they AWD. my 05 Denali is 2WD and also has a 5.3 not the 6.0, it was a special construct. so you can find them. odd as they are. makes getting parts from the auto houses a bugger.
