I didn't take it that way, David. I knew what you meant:-) I've had GM vehicles for over 20 years and it's been an adventure for sure. Dealing with GM service advisors and dealership body shops is a battle more often than not. Some dealers are worse than others.
Cheers!
Yeah, I guess so David. I probably should have looked at it more thoroughly myself. I checked the obvious things like the headrests, seat belts, or other objects. Never thought it would be something so simple as a plastic trim piece under the seat.
I'm posting this up so that people who have issues with the 3rd row power seats not laying flat know how to fix it. I got tired of messing around with the dealership, so I took some time to figure it out myself. Novel idea, right? Yeah.
Anyway...there are two possible causes:
(1)...
Did a spring cleaning on my Tahoe this past week and removed the OEM steel spare wheel that comes standard on the vehicle. Nothing terribly exciting, but got to thinking about ditching it and replacing with with a matching OEM 18" Z71 wheel.
Anyone replace the steel spare?
Just kinda...
Sorry to resurrect this again, but noticed that mine don't lay flat either. The right side seems ok with the single seat, but the left with the double seat is elevated about 2". Definately not flat. Makes it a chore when slding large objects out because they get stuck on the lip.
Pondering...
No. It's just a basic bike rack. Nothing fancy. It slides into the 2" receiver and tightens with a screw. No electrical.
Strange that it shuts the front sensors off as well. But guess that's the way it is. Thanks!
Yeah, I'll have to experiment. I can understand if it shut-off the rear sensors, but for some reason it also disables the front ones as well. Very nice to have when I pull into the garage and have to nose-up against the wall as close as possible so the bike rack clears the garage door. But my...
Everything has been working fine, and then I added a bike rack that fits into my 2" receiver. Now every time I start the vehicle it flashes "Park Assist Off". Neither the front nor the rear sensors will indicate how close I am to things (like my garage wall).
When I hit the park assist...
I've had this happen on a few vehicles. When you press on the brake pedal it squeaks. It sounds loud mainly because the engine is off and there is no other interior noise. I wouldn't call it a squeal though. It's more of a squeak coming from the brake lever.
Got about 1200 miles on my Tahoe and still don't feel that the brakes are fully scrubbed-in yet. I've done quite a bit driving in Tahoes over the years but mostly with higher mileage units. Anyway...did about 600 miles in 11-20 degree temps over the Christmas holiday and found myself really...
I drove the 6.2L 10-speed with 3.23 gears in the 2017 Silverado quite a bit. Good combo overall. Nothing negative to say about it other than 3.73 rear would have been a better combo for back roads and city driving. They tossed in 3.23s for MPG numbers. I wouldn't consider the acceleration...
Yes, in order to make the H9 bulb fit the H11 plug and mount you have to use a Dremel on two spots: (1) remove a plastic tab inside the plug and (2) remove a small amount around the outside bezel of the bulb. There are few videos on YouTube if you do a quick search on "H9 to H11 conversion"...
