Well if anyone else experiences this sound under hard acceleration it is the transfer case chain. Mine stretched. Installed new one and everything works great.
No not yet. I had it on the lift yesterday and it looks like my chain in the transfer case stretched. Under hard acceleration it has a knock. Sometimes it’s one then sometimes it’s a few. It feels like it’s coming from right under my feet. But only under hard acceleration. Drives great if you...
Parts should be here in a few days so here are a couple before pictures. I think it has a 2/3 drop kit installed because I’m at 33” in the front and 34” in the rear. My Tahoe was 34.5-35” in the front and about 36.5ish in the rear before I lifted it. The Yukon is also resting on the bump stops...
I just finished doing a complete fluid service all around yesterday and It doesn’t have shock relocation brackets and the keys look stock but have flash rust on them so they might be aftermarket lowering keys. As far as the rear springs go I don’t know. The truck just seems low. Too low for...
i just bought a 2006 Yukon XL Denali and I’m wondering if it’s lowered. What’s the average ground to fender height of a Yukon XL? I’m at 33-33.5 in the front and 34.5-35 in the rear. Seems low to me.
Well I changed out the oil pressure sensor and that was the issue. Only think I notice is my Tahoe runs at about 50ish oil pressure and the Yukon runs at about 30-40. Is that normal?
when I floor my DENALI it has a clunking noise . Sounds like something spinning. Only at full throttle though. If I drive normal it doesn’t make any noise. Even when turning and over bumps it’s quiet. Anybody ever experienced this??
Yea I’m gonna go the same route I did with the tahoe. Some lift keys in the front and z71 springs in the rear with some shockextenders (for now) . Try and fine some more oem 17’s like I have on the Tahoe and put same tires on it. I’m not gonna take all the moldings off on this one. Just the...
I will check the ignition cycle today when I get off of work. I changed out the sencor on my Tahoe so I know it’s not bad. I’ll change the senor too, but I wanna get the gauges rebuilt also. How much do you charge scottyboy? And do you do the leds?
im looking to see if anyone can refer me to someone that rebuilds gauge clusters. I have a 2006 Yukon and a couple lights are out and the oil pressure gauge is pegged wide open. Was looking to do a complete rebuild and possibly convert it to leds
I put keys on my Tahoe with shock extenders and it rides like stock to me. Mine is a 2wd but I don’t think that would change the ride quality. Only options for lifting yours is lift keys, coil over conversion, or full axle drop if you wanna go bigger than 3”.
No question is stupid. It’s always...
Might be an option later on. I already ordered the parts to lift it like the Tahoe. Gonna throw a thrush welded muffler on it also just like the hoe. Also gonna have to get a small list to fix a few issues.
Yep south Louisiana . Bout an hour south of New Orleans. I been look for pictures of lifted denalis. Looks like it will be a nice looking vehicle when done
hey guys. I just finished my lift project on my 2002 Tahoe . Well I cam across an awesome deal on a 2006 Yukon XL Denali so now I’m gonna start on that. I think I’m gonna do the same parts I did for my Tahoe . Wouldn’t be able to go any higher then 2-3” in the front due to the awd system. Unless...
I have 285/70 17’s (32.8”) with a 2.5 ish lift all the way around. On stock 2015 rims. No rubbing at all and I think it looks good. Didn’t regear either and truck drives beautiful. Fender heights at the moment are 39” all the way around
.
I can tell you they ride very nice. No humming at all. And they were only $500 when I bought them on sale from tire discount. But I will definitely keep you updated. They look awesome also.
Finally got the tires put on and the exhaust work done. Overall height is 38 3/4 all the way around now. Looks awesome. Looked at a pic before I did anything to the truck to now and wow . Huge difference.
