I haven't been able to fix it. I know it's been forever since the problem came up but other things have been going in with it that lead me to believe there is a short or ground issue that need to be resolved before spending money on parts
i ended up drilling a hole right above the antenna wire and ran it along the fire wall to the AUX terminals on the fuse block. i cut a slit in the carpet to attach a ground to the body with a self tapping screw. something i noticed is that my subs will cut out if i have the radio over 16-18...
i was literally about to ask the same question. and also can i run the 12v wire from the aux posts on the fuse block? it has a 30amp fuse on it so im thinking if i hook into thet, i wont need the extra in line fuse. i really dont want to drill a hole in the firewall if i dont have to
i havent replaced the spider yet. im was thinking about doing it when i do the intake gasket since it will be tore down already. i didnt even think about battery cables until you mentioned it kcb, fuel pump is still as loud as ever so i dont think thats the problem. like i said the filter did...
the start. it sounds like the starter is having trouble or the battery is dying. the starter is new and the battery was tested by interstate and was almost like new. fuel filter helped a lot but it is still hard at times
ok so here are the advanced auto scan tool results
idle: 627-640 RPM
MAF (Lb/m): .82
MAP ("Hg): 8.9-9.2
advance (deg): 21.5-25.5
i dont know if this makes any difference but its said Fuel Sys 1 and 2 CLSD (im assuming that meant closed)
WD40 ans Fuel Filter helped a but but its still sketchy...
the whole purpose of a caddy is to not take it off road. if you want to go off road just get a real tahoe or suburban... this is pointless
a true example for the most offroading a cadillac should do can be sen above haha ^
my advance was between 22 and 24 deg. MAF was 99-102. or was that map... should have written it down i guess. i got a fuel filter along with my intake gasket kit just now so ill stick it on tomorrow. is there a filter in the tank on the pump too?
No it gets driven multiple times a day. It's my daily driver

I tried new rotor, wires and dizzy cap. That helped a tiny bit but not really
ok so ive been gone for a while and my trucks been having a hard start issue but its only every once in a while. some times its really bad and sometimes not so much. its got a brand new starter (not a reman). im thinking maybe a bad ground or fuel filter? maybe just spray some WD40 in the...
yeah man its like that down here. its mid afternoon and there is a humid haze already. all i can say is i love the walk in freezer after a day of fishing.. always kept at a frosty -5 deg
they were there when i installed the blocks but im feeling like they must have broken out. theres no way the hole hopped over the pin. ill try to get some pics up when the rain stops, if you havent been to virginia beach in the summer just imagine 90 deg 90% humidity and it raining every other...
decided to take a look under the rear end of the hoe today and noticed that my lift blocks have moved about an inch forward. i thought no big deal i just did t torque it enough, I'll get it tomorrow.. so i thought... took a closer look at it just a few mins ago and its not the block that moved...
if you have 15x10 you will rub like crazy with only 2 inches of lift!!!! trust me i have 3" and 15x10s w/ 33s and i had to cut a bunch off and i still scrape. but it looks good if you ask me :smoke2:
i have basically what your talking about. 3" keys and 3" blocks. it rides like a truck what can i say? i dont mind it but some are more particular about ride quality. i havent worn anything out yet and angles arent good but but they have held up to some crap. i have 33x12.50 on 10 wides.. trust...
So first things first. my wiper motor with the variable speed/time thingy stopped working some times so it was off, on, or hyper speed. i figured the motor was just being weird so i dealt with it. then a few weeks ago my wipers just come on for no reason and wont turn off. found out if i turned...
my friend did the same thing and he just had to buy a new axle because his diff blew up.. not sure if its related but im sure re gearing would cost less than a new axle if it is related
