Looking for information on how to remove the dash mounted cup holder. I pulled the lower dash panel and removed the two screws holding the cup holder, but can't seem to pop the holder out. I'm worried about breaking something in the dash, so any information would be greatly appreciated.

Took mine out not too long ago, if I remember right if you look on the bottom it's a really simply clip/spring lock thingy, also I think it's not necessary to remove the screws, I'll look at it in the morning and see if it'll jog my memory

Thanks a lot. My dash has developed a horrible squeak and it's driving me crazy. got the glovebox off, got the dash bezel off and lower trim panel but noise is still there. Can't really figure out the ashtray unit and the cup holder. Figured to get the cup holder off first as the noise seems to be coming from somewhere in that area. Appreciate your time.

Ok found it, open the cup holder all the way and take off the lower panel. If you look at the tip of my finger there's a little knob there, just turn it and it will come out and allow you to take the cup holder out

Not sure if you got to the heart of your dash squeaking but I've read where the screw holes on the dash can crack and cause it. I came across this and thought I would pass it along.
