in the chassis hole where the radio wires come from the vehicle there was a pink wire in the radio harness. hook that wire the the pioneer remote amp activation wire. that should trigger the relay in the dash that activates the factory amp for the rear doors.

Yup I pulled my tv back out, unplugged the harness. Took a spare piece of blue/white wire and made an extension from the pink wire on the truck side of the radio harness, to the blue/white wire on my radios harness.....now my speakers scream

So I have the no sound from the rear door speaker wires; hooked up the pink wire to the amp remote wire and still nothing. I have looked under the dash and have yet to locate the amp, I have removed the driver front seat and checked under it and that is the air bag sensor. My Tahoe is a 1999 LS 4 door that had just the AM/FM radio and front door speakers and rear roof speakers only. So I am unsure if my Tahoe has an amp or not. Also if someone may have some photos of the amp and location it may be in.

Thank you for reading this post.

it may not with that trim. and it s likely the airbag control module not sensor. the amp may be in the dash between wheel and hvac box up top or center console in your year. btw check the cig lighter power fuse as well.

Yes it is the SRS Airbag control module, no center console in my Tahoe. I am not seeing any thing under the dash between the steering wheel and the hvac box. Is there a chance that my Tahoe does not have the wire harness for the amp?

What is strange is that the rear doors do have the wiring for the speakers and the radio harness has the pink wire. The cig fuse is good.

Hey Sunlit, what would be required to add the factory amp and the harness for it? I would like to add the rear door speakers though I also think I may just wait till I have more time to actually wire in to the rear door harnesses for the speakers directly from after market amps.
