I was recently working on my '09 Tahoe's dash and took off the Knee Bolster (plastic panel under the steering column). Actually, I didn't take it off, it was so old and brittle that it virtually shattered into more than 20 pieces.
I tried to find a new one and learned that they're discontinued. Ebay has some used ones, but I figured they would be brittle as well. I glued the old one back together with sheetmetal reinforcements, but it looked like crap.
I did some more digging and found one on Ebay that fits a '08-'09 H2 Hummer. Looks the same--IS THE SAME! The only difference is the color. I can buy paint! Bought a can of Rustoleum and the match is very close the the cashmere color of my interior.
The Ebay seller has several of them left, so if you're looking for one, look there.
