Well I finally got a replacement for the Tahoe, and I am extremely happy. I loved my 2002 Dodge back in the day and after seeing/talking to Austin about his Ram I made the jump. Bought it from the same guy I got my last Ram from (company truck and close family friend).

It is a 2011 Ram Sport Crew 2wd with 145k miles on it. 5.7L Hemi with the 5 speed transmission. Plans are tint, debadge, and either 2/4 drop or 2" leveling kit. After that it will be drive it and tinker with it when I get extra money (exhaust, tune, and small system).

I got a great deal on it, and I believe it will be a great truck for me. It needs some TLC and a detail something terrible. Pictures make it look a little better than it truly is. Well here are to the pictures:

Nice truck man. I've always loved ram trucks. Especially the newest ones. Good looking trucks and very reliable! I had two dodges before I bought my Denali and loved them.

Yea man it is gone. I bought it for 7k and a buddy of mine in town said he wanted it and offered me $9500 for it. I couldn't keep it when I had that much money to gain. So then I called my best friends dad and he sold me this Ram which was his company truck. (He constantly is out of town on trips, so most of the miles are from our town to Atlanta to get on flights) I can literally say that at least 75% of the miles are highway to an airport and then at least another 15% are him driving it to church on Sundays. I believe that this truck should last me a long time and be awesome. He treated it like a truck cosmetically, but the oil was changed religiously, he never towed anything with it, and he gave me a DEAL.

Sounds like you made out great on both fronts :waytogo: I would have done the same thing. You can't argue about the return on your money. I always say everything is for sale for the right price and that is certainly a good price to let it go :) Nice job, man.

Well truck has an exhaust leak, which is typically broken exhaust manifold bolts. That should be a fun project. I am dropping it off at the shop tomorrow to change the spark plugs and to give it a once over to see if there is anything else maintenance wise that needs to be done. That is going to eat into my mod money, but the exhaust leak is terrible to me. Nothing drives me crazier than exhaust leaks. Depending on if the manifolds are cracked or not, will determine the plan of attach. JBA Long tubes for this truck run about $800 and I just don't really want to spend the money on it like that. Especially when I have to get then it tuned for the long tubes as well. We shall see what the shop says as far as what needs replacing to fix the exhaust and go from there.

Was gonna buy a 4th gen ram but got an insane deal on my tahoe. Plus I knew the previous original owner which I bought it from. Also it's paid off.

But my next truck will be a newer ram.
