When I turn the driver side heated seat on the button stays lit up for a few seconds that shuts off, the pass side one doesn't have this issue, any ideas?

likely a short in the heating element. over time , they just burn out. you can trace your wiring and look for any shorts. or just pull the seat cover, if the heating element is toast, it will be pretty obvious.

yes, i replaced mine when i put in a new seat pad, heater element and seat cover.
if your seat cover is in good shape, just get the element. i believe Dorman makes one.

I ordered my element on eBay. It was fairly cheap. If you're gonna do the lower cushion you may as well do the heater element while you have it opened up. That's what I did. Its pretty easy. Unbolt the 4 bolts holding the seat in. And then once the seat is unplugged and out, the cushion has little plastic clips that clip to the bottom of the seat of rail. Once those are off the cushion will come off and the heater element is right there.
