This truck still runs like a dream.. It drops one gear jumps 5-600 rpms and climbs steep grades with ease.. at 250k I would expect to go through the ac, put on an alternator, put in a fuel pump, heater core then go 150k more!
I was constantly getting a knock code and light.. I replaced them years back with the Chinese brand and left the original harness in when I had less knowledge of the setup.
Hey, it sounds like it could be a brake or dust shield on its way out. Look to make sure the metal dust shield isn't rubbing the disc brake in the back.
I have a new one on the way, I have a 320k 01 Yukon that I just put plugs wires intake gaskets, ac Delco knock sensors and new knock sens harness on.. I'm back up to 100% power up to 2/3 throttle then it boggs.. There are no Intake leaks and the fuel pump is brand new, put that in a little while...
So, I'm chasing a half throttle issue and I wanted to see what was inside this little booger
Some wear but nothing crazy.. This things as simple as you may imagine
Went into the sending unit again and found the rubber seal on the foot of the fuel pump was cracked. That wasn't letting it pull the fuel past the little rubber baffle in the sock filter so I just pulled it out of the filter and that eliminated the surge and low power under 1/4 a tank. It also...
Lol. It's cool brother, it was a lengthy post.. I'm gonna pull the sending unit again and see if there is anything obvious. I just wanted to see if anyone else has seen this
I have an interesting issue with my knock sensors tripping my timing.. They set the light off with no other issues over 1/4 of a tank of fuel. When I go under 1/4 a tank I loose massive amounts of power until the sensors trip the timing which leads to a 40 mph top speed. I replaced the knock...
That's making me regret paying to have mine done.. There isn't much I will let anyone else do on any of my vehicles.. I'm a machinist so I have all the indicators that would be needed.... Maybe next time
It's just 9 inches in all, the other 2" was to space the back wheels to the same width as the front. The space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender is 11" in the front and 10" in the back. Ground to fender is 46"
Thanks brother!! I think I got a couple of girls pregnant when I passed em on the strip lastnight:anitoof:
They are Mileking 35 12.5 r22's with a 6" lift and 3" keys.. I have 2" wheel spacers in the back to even out the stance.. It's only been setup a week, here's the build...
